| This is the first time we've been able to get a full field
lined up in any order. The cars are lined up in the final finishing
order. Tom Bowman's green Lola GT is inside row 1, then Kevin Chesney's
Lola GT, then Bigstuff's Panel Van, then JJ's RRR Cheetah outside row
1, etc.

| Lola GT's were the popular car of the day. But there
were some cars that don't see a lot of race action at VHORS, including
the Cheetah, Cougar, MG, and '55.

| At track level one common denominator can be found: these
cars sit low.

| In this shot I noticed one more common trait: wide brass
independent front ends.

| Dan Crawford chases JJ in the double horse shoe curves
the come after the big straight.

| Here's a rare shot where all 4 cars can be seen in the
same area of the track. At the far end, you can see the panel van
fishtailing around the tight inside curve, while the Lola is demonstrating
why aprons are used. In front, two yellow Lolas speed to the end
of the straight.
